Rather variable semi-double white flowers surrounded by a ruff of green and white bracts. Every flower different and changes year to year. 20cm. Shade.
Compared to some of the other white bracteate forms 'Bracteata Pleniflora' could be called a bit scruffy but it has it's charm! Growth tends to be a little more vigorous and taller than other similar forms too.
Unfortunately there do seem to be several different clones sold under this name but I believe our clone to be typical.
Wood Anemones are naturally plants of deciduous woodland and wood edge so they thrive in a location that gets light and moisture overwinter before drying out and getting shaded during the summer. They will go dormant from early-mid summer before re-emerging the following late winter/early spring.
