Clumps of upright stems clothed with glossy green pinnate leaves, producing rounded heads of purple-blue flowers in summer. Fuzzy, russet seedpods in autumn are attractive. 1.2m. Good soil in sun.

An unusual herbaceous perennial giving the presence of an open shrub and making an attractive addition to the garden.  Foliage, flowers and seedpods are all attractive and the somewhat arching habit allow planting of lower groundcover right up to the base.
