An elegant, tall, late summer and autumn daisy, this form having bright yellow flowers with white tips to the petals on strong stems to 1.5m. Good soil in sun. Hardy in most winters in soil that doesn't get too wet. Excellent for mixing with ornamental grasses such as Miscanthus and Panicum as well as other autumn flowering perennials like Aster, Persicaria amplexicaulis and Vernonia.
From Mexico which helps explain why it doesn't like very cold and wet winters but it's survived -15C here in Norfolk.
The RHS Plantfinder has listed this as Bidens aurea for several years but the plant normally grown under that name is a very short (10cm), tender bedding plant!
