Distinctive long narrow lobes are held at wide angles on this medium sized ivy. Spread a leaf out flat and you'll see the 3-legged tripod shape.
'Tripod' is one of the more vigorous bird's foot type ivies with fairly quick growth and longer internodes than most. I'd like to see this variety used to cover a shady wall somewhere and expect that the appearance after a few years will be like a green hairy wall with the narrow lobes making a striking feature.
A sport of 'Plume d'Or' from Coon Hollow Ivies in California, USA found in the late 1980s.
Hedera helix 'Francis'£5.00
Sharply pointed, multi-divided leaves with prominent veins. Forms dense mats or can climb. Distinctive.
Hedera helix 'Pedata'£4.50
An historic variety (pre-1863) with very long narrow lobes to the typical green leaves. An attractive climber or trailer. Purplish in winter.
Hedera helix 'Peter Pan'£5.00
A miniature "duckfoot" type with tiny lobed leaves densely packed on trailing stems. A fun plant best in a container in shade or part shade.
