Clumps of bright fresh green foliage producing stems topped with golden brown tassel-like flowers in early to mid spring. Average soil in part shade. 45cm.

A selected form of the native Woodrush this Luzula is fairly typical of the "wild type" but has a brighter green leaf compared to those I've seen in the UK.  Excellent to mix with early spring flowers in a part or lightly shaded border.

The species, Luzula sylvatica, is a native of woodland usually on good soils that don't dry out too much.
