Beautiful butter yellow winter and spring foliage, turning lime green in summer. Golden tassel-like flowers in spring. Excellent foliage plant for light or part shade. 30cm. Evergreen.

As might be expected, this golden yellow leafed form is slower growing than the normal green forms of Luzula sylvatica and will make smaller clumps.

Syn Luzula sylvatica 'Aurea', 'Tatra Gold'.

Yellow leafed forms of wood rush seem to have been found more than once in the wild but are (for now) all known by this name as they appear identical. Named for the Tatra Mountains on the border of Poland and Slovakia.
