New to cultivation in the UK as far as I can tell this autumn flowering species is a showy surprise. Bright, light lavender flowers for many weeks to 75cm.

Symphyotrichum graetae is one of those plants we keep noticing on the nursery from afar and have to go and check what it is. The flowers are a decent size (3-4cm diameter) and a clear bright colour, held densely on the upright stems.  No sign of mildew in the 10 plus years we've had it.

From California, USA.
