100% Peat-free All our plants are propagated and grown on peat-free, from scratch, on our nursery.

An elegant form which emerges with purple shoots that slowly turn green as the white and green flowers appear below the arch of the stems in late spring. 75cm. Good soil in light or part shade.

A finer plant than the better known 'Betburg', and arguably a better garden plant, 'Purple Katie' has a more consistant purple colouration and a more graceful foliage form.  Unfortunately Polygonatum x hybridum 'Purple Katie' is also slower growing and takes longer to establish a good clump.

Haven't been able to find anything out about it's origin yet...
